Wedding Advice, Thoughts and General Comments

Wedding Advice, Thoughts and General Comments

Below are some FAQ's and answers that may help you. For more information, visit Our Blog!

Q: What are the essential items I need to have as part of my wedding stationery collection?

A: Here is the bottom line of what you need to have: Invitations, Response Sets (Cards & Envelopes) and Thank You notes. (Wasn't that great to get a straight answer? And I sell this stuff!!)

Q: Ok, if I have a bigger budget, what would be the next "nice to have" items?

A: First, make sure you spend your money wisely on your invitation. This is the item that sets your guests' expectations for your wedding event. Second, I think it is nice to send Save The Date cards 6-8 months before the wedding. (See below for more information on this subject.) Third, it is proper (and there is nothing wrong with following etiquette) to send a separate reception card along with your invitation.

Q: Is it necessary to send a Save The Date card?

A: Absolutely not (see above question) but it is nice for a couple of reasons. These days people are so busy (especially during peak times: summer and holidays) that it is just a good idea to let your guests know about your event so they can plan on it. Secondly, there are just some great products out there that can showcase your personality while still serving an important function. (Unlike the invitation, which should be a little more formal and a little less "funky".) Of course, the Save The Date card will now be the first item that your guests see so you still want to be classy about it.
